The results are in! Find out who made the cut for the 60th Annual Grammy Award nominations!
This year keeps getting better and better for super star rapper Cardi B with her hot song “Bodak Yellow” recently going triple platinum and taking the number one spot from Taylor Shift on the Billboard charts! Cardi has snagged TWO Grammy nominations! BEST RAP SONG and BEST RAP PERFORMANCE!
Her fiancé, Rapper Offset joins his group “Migos” that includes members Take Off and Quavo In receiving a Grammy Nod for BEST RAP ALBUM “Culture”.
Also snagging nominations are Jay-Z, Kendrick Lamar, Lil Uzi, Khalid and Childish Gambino snagging FIVE nominations!
Just coming off the wave of being nominated for BEST R&B/SOUL FEMALE ARTIST for the Soul Train awards this past weekend, Singer and songwriter Kehlani gets a Grammy Nod for her hit single “Distraction”.
Also, wrapping up his annual Turkey giveaway this past Thanksgiving, Detroit representer Big Sean cops a Grammy Nomination for BEST RAP PERFORMANCE for “Bounce Back”.
Dime’s Predictions:
- I believe Cardi B will win BEST RAP SONG for Bodak Yellow! There’s no denying how HUGE that record was and the influence it had!
- Childish Gambino who’s up for 5-Grammy Nods will walk away with at least one! Like, how are you not gonna win at least one award with FIVE nominations! Plus I LOVE “Redbone”!
- Hip Hop Head Honcho Hov aka Jay-Z will add multiple sippy cups to his collection with multiple wins as he’s leading in nominations with a total of 8!
- Theres no denying in the presence that Kendrick Lamar made with is album debut of “DAMN”. It had everyone woke! I see him walking away with a Grammy Win!
